Mission Codename Vino Eructo!
Today’s wine is very highly recommended! Today’s wine is a truly fantastic wine and we really wish that we’d come across this hidden gem label earlier. This Wine Foundry 2013 Napa Valley The Philosopher Red Wine was made by Patrick Saboe, who previously made wines at operative favorite Pezzi King and others.
Holy wow! What a nose on this one! Aromas of dark fruit abound, perfumed and layered with spice and savory earth. Blackberry preserve, blueberry jam, spice box, cassis, cocoa dust, bramble, leather, sweet black licorice, and graphite. Juicy and rich on the palate, with blackberry juice, blueberry jam, raspberry, black licorice, coffee bean, sweet spice, baker’s chocolate, dusty bramble, toasty oak and pencil shavings.
The Napa Valley AVA (American Viticultural Area) is located in Napa County, California, United States. Napa Valley is considered one of the foremost wine regions in the world. Wine grapes thrive here, due to the combination of geography, the Mediterranean climate and geology of the region, which are perfect for wine grape growing. The region was established as a wine-growing region with its first commercial vineyard, which was planted in 1858.
Enjoy!
