Some things are better left to the imagination…
Magnolia Blossom is a very small, boutique project owned by Pat and Pam Roberts. To help reach their goals they brought William Weese on as winemaker. He previously worked with Napa Valley Reserve, Kendall Jackson, and MacPhail! Factor in Cellar Master Austin Roberts too worked at MacPhail, as well as Kosta Browne & Gary Farrell - so you have a small but mighty team down for the cause.
Bucher is a premier spot sourced by a number of top-tier Pinot producers - Williams Selyem, Merry Edwards, Siduri, Ramey, Joseph Jewell to name a few. Organically farmed and planted to some of the best clones of the varietal, it’s a dream spot for growing this notoriously finicky grape. This one has a slight Burgundian feel but still rocks that Russian River personality – it’s bright and bolstered by zippy acidity, packed with all kinds of warm, ripe, red fruits. We’re loving the brambly raspberry, sour cherry pie, cedar, red apple skin, and some toasty Asian spices.
So, so good, and we promise every one of your 10,000 taste buds will thank you. Just have some wild salmon ready to go.
SUPER under the radar - only 9 barrels made! Spotted by the press just once a couple of vintages ago, when Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate rated it outstanding and described it as “scented of woodsmoke, crushed granite and pipe tobacco, with plenty of crunchy red cherry, cranberry and pomegranate notes underneath. Light to medium-bodied, it has good intensity of tart, herb-tinged red fruits, with slightly fuzzy-textured tannins and good juicy acidity on the finish.”
We’re over the moon to have any of this wine to share with you. Consider yourself lucky to get some, at $44 less than the rest of the world pays.
Assuming it’s not sold out by the time you’re reading this…
