Mission Codename Limboland
Cabernet gang, rise up! We’re hooking up a first-class Stags Leap District experience today. But the price has more in common with a Spirit Airlines fare. Minus the knee-crunching middle seat between two mouth-breathers.
About that price. No longer $84. Not $30. Keep going, we’re getting low, low, low - limbo style!
Try $28 instead, which works out to a whopping 67% OFF! You can pay many times more for an SLD red and get marginally better quality, at best…
Honestly, Carpathian Vineyards is a bit of a mystery. Not much information there to be frank, but we smell a cult source behind all the sworn secrecy. We were told to take the wine, not ask any questions. Total spy material, let’s investigate further…
We know what this wine tastes like (wicked good!), and we also know it comes from a vineyard just south of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars’ famous SLV Vineyard (yeah, that $200 winner of the 1976 Paris Tasting). Other vastly popular names like Regusci and Chimney Rock are right there in that sweet spot too. This is pure kick-ass Stags Leap juice from the right address at a shockingly low price.
Cab dominates here at 72% of the blend, combined with 18% Merlot and 10% Malbec. Together they combine into a force of melted licorice, blackberries, black cherries, cocoa powder, plum, and spicy wood. On one hand, it’s quite a jammy, ripe fruit bomb. On the other, it has plenty of complexity and a towering structure, with a fascinating savory minerality, grainy tannins, and cool acidity lifting it up. Deeply satisfying and drinking way above its price point. Give those grippy tannins some fatty steak to serve alongside and you’ll be good to go.
The steaks will cost more than what you’re paying for this steal today.
Only 9 barrels were made – not even 10! And we got the last cases available. Chalk up yet another spectacular first for our Operatives - get some if you can! You’ll love it.
