Mission Codename Cain only imagine?
Again??! The hits keep coming! This time we negotiated an exclusive deal on a 95 point stunner of a Cabernet! Collectors, fans of classic Napa Cabernet, and anyone who wants a momentary escape from reality - here’s your ticket. CAIN! We’re the first and only to bring this deal to you!!
In 2016, Decanter magazine listed Cain amongst “the top five wines of the 2013 Napa Valley vintage alongside Harlan, Spottswoode, Dunn, and Corison” and praised their “amazing consistency, longevity and sophistication”. Their flagship, the Cain Five, comes solely from estate vineyards high up on Spring Mountain. The Concept was born from a desire to counterbalance their rugged, powerful Cain Five which comes from the mountain vineyards with something that showed a smoother, riper, more immediately enjoyable personality. It’s built from a selection of lower elevation “benchlands” - prime vineyards at the foot of the mountains in Rutherford, Oakville and St Helena.
Cain has racked up huge scores over the years, but this stands as one of their top-3 highest rated wines by James Suckling. You might recall 2012 marked the start of a string of insanely good, near perfect vintages in Napa, and at eight years of age this stuff is ready to rock your world with buckets of sweet bing cherry and cassis, torrents of blackberry, and layer upon layer of cigar box, warm baking spices, vanilla and a dusting of chocolate…and wait, is that some mushroom/truffle note hidden in there too?? Ripe and opulent, just crazy complex and flat-out enjoyable stuff. If you dig the likes of Dunn, Mondavi Reserve, Forman or Togni, you’ll totally fall for this.
Cain wines rarely make their way into retail channels and we are the first ever to offer this gem at an unprecedented discount! Just hurry because we have barely enough for an offer
95 Points - James Suckling
“Extremely floral and ripe with rosemary and dark fruit. Fresh fruit too, of course. Full body, round tannins and fruity and long finish. Reserved and refined. Wonderful clarity. Better in 2018 but why wait?”
