Racy, crisp and clean! Our 2017 Sauvignon Blanc blends bright aromas with vibrant, zesty flavors and a subtle texture – a refreshingly delicious wine. Our fruit is grown at Hopkins River Ranch located in the heart of the Russian River Valley. This organically farmed vineyard features vines planted over 40 years ago, among the oldest Sauvignon Blanc vines in Sonoma County.
2017 will long be remembered as the vintage of the wildfires but thankfully the vast majority of the fruit across Sonoma County had been picked before the fires came in October. We picked our Sauvignon Blanc in early September. The winter saw near record rainfall which translated to vigorous growth in the vineyard, testing our vineyard team to ensure proper fruit development. Despite these challenges, the fruit shows excellent purity and overall quality.
Bright aromas with citrus and floral notes. Flavors of Asian pear, pineapple and slate. Fresh acidity throughout with a crisp, clean finish. 100% whole-cluster pressed, followed by a long, cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve vibrant aromatics.
