Mission Codename Couldn't drag me away
Operative Benefit: Winemaker David Mahaffey was generous enough to offer to sign each bottle that you purchase today!
Today’s Olivia Brion 2013 Wild Horse Valley Chardonnay won our Top White Wine of the Year during last year’s Wine Spies Wine Intrigue Awards (WIA). The prior vintage won the same award one year earlier. On the eve of this years WIA period, we bring you this thrilling Rombauer-killer in a special, last chance offer - at a new, lower price!
We nabbed a nice allocation, but please be sure to reserve some soon. We don’t have enough for everyone. Check out this great review from the Winemaker himself:
We think that this 2013 vintage is even more compelling and intriguing than the 2012 vintage, which is really saying something. Our entire tasting panel adores this wine and we’re certain that you will, too.
This wine is mystical and magical on the nose (no kidding!), with aromas of lemon cake, freshly baked challah, white peach, toasted hazelnut, soft white spice and very subtle savory herb.
On the palate? What a delight! With flavors of green apple, brioche, lemon curd, white peach, nectarine, Meyer lemon, subtle butterscotch, fresh fennel, soft oak and very subtle spice and dried herbs.
Highly recommended.
