Vintage Notes Mother Nature was smiling down on the Napa Valley in 2009. The growing season was long, steady and full of ease, allowing the grapes to develop slowly and consistently without much interference from the vineyard team. The valley saw very few incidences of frost in the Spring, or 100-plus degree heat spikes in the summer and fall, allowing the grapes to remain on the vines until the first storms of October. The result is elegant wines with stunning color.
