Mission Codename Coombsville Pride
Happy Super Spy Sunday, dear Operative! We have a very special wine for you, today. Special Reserve to be precise. We’ve been featuring the wines of Maroon Wines for a decade now. In that time, they’ve become one of our most popular wineries. Our special relationship gives us access to special pricing - for you!
Today’s Maroon Wines 2013 Special Reserve Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon is sublime on the nose, with rich layers of blackberry, spice box, blueberry, raspberry, cassis, leather, smoked meat, cigar box and dried fall leaves. Bold and rich on the palate, with Black licorice, blackberry, black cherry, grilled cherry, dried blueberry, hard leather, cocoa, spice box, twigs and cracked pepper.
The fruit for this wine was hand selected from the very best lots of Maroon’s 2013 Cabernet haul. To be specific, the grapes were culled from the winery’s reserve blocks, with only the best of those grapes making it into today’s rich, dark, delicious wine.
This 2013 is still a young wine, with plenty of life left in it. In fact, you can hold this wine for 15 years or more. Why not grab a full case and enjoy a bottle every couple of years to see just how well the wine is progressing.
Note: If the bottle price is keeping you from purchasing 6 (in order to receive included ground shipping), remember that you can mix and match from the other wines on our home page. Just scroll down on the front page to add other wines to your cart.

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
93 points - Tastings.com - “Nearly opaque ruby black color. Fruity, earthy aromas and flavors of baked berries, clay, spiced nuts, and olive with a supple, bright, dryish medium body and a silky, complex, long cedar, roasted chestnuts, and earth finish with well-integrated, chewy tannins and moderate oak. A rich, savory claret styled cabernet that will shine at the table.”
