Mission Codename Pure Royalty
Our best selling winemaker of all time remains Mitch Cosentino. We first showcased Mitch’s wines back in 2008, when we were just fledgling spies. Mitch’s wines quickly became very popular with our Operatives. Today’s 2012 Napa Valley “pureCoz” Red is a stunning reminder of Mitch’s profound skills as a winemaker.
Juice and spice and everything nice on the nose, with spiced cherry candy, cranberry, dark brown spice, red currant, sweet tobacco leaf and cracked peppercorn. On the palate, this wine starts out juicy, then goes softly earthy and spiced, with fruit flavors Bing cherry, raspberry, dried cranberry, and pomegranate, then dusty bramble, spice box, flinty mineral and black pepper.
As we said, Mitch Cosentino has the distinction of being our best selling winemaker of all time. We’ve sold more wines that were made by Mitch than any other winemaker. And that’s really saying something. We’ve had the great fortune to show off some of the world’s best winemakers.
We hope that you love this exceptional wine as much as we do. If you don’t, heck, we’ll buy it back - and drink it ourselves!

90 points - Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast - “Cedar, pencil and wild mushroom scents accent the nose of this wine—a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot and 10% Sangiovese. Generous tannins give additional weight to the overall concentration. The finish feels dusted with spicy clove.”
