Mission Codename Right Bank, Right Now
Limited Quantity Alert: We have the final remaining cases of today’s extraordinary Anderson’s Conn Valley Vineyards 2009 Right Bank Red Wine.
This aromatic 93 point (Robert Parker) beauty is a perfect blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It is one of the most delicious, most food friendly blends we’ve tasted.
Beautifully aromatic, with a nose that just doesn’t quit. Aromas of Bing cherry, raspberry, blackberry, cedar, leather, sweet spice, espresso bean, baker’s chocolate and a hint of black pepper.
Every bit as gorgeous on the palate as on the nose, this wine shows off delicious flavors of black cherry, cherry tobacco, black tea leaf, blackberry, plum, cassis, spice box and toasty oak.
Today’s wine was made by winemaker Robert Hunt, who has become a real winemaker of interest for us. This wine is just so… so drinkable and so delicious.
When Robert’s not making intriguing and beguiling wines at Anderson’s Conn Valley, he’s making wine at Napa’s Clos Pegase Winery. Past postings? Well ‘little’ wineries like Pine Ridge Vineyards, Colgin Cellars, Ovid Vineyards and others of particular note.
Reserve yours soon. This wonderful wine will not last the day…

Here’s what the wine press has to say:
93 points - Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate - “The 2009 Proprietary Red Right Bank offers up sweet dark cherries, mint, licorice, dried flowers, scorched earth and tobacco, all in a gracious, mid-weight style. A bit rough at first, the 2009 opens up beautifully with time in the glass as the aromatics find their focus and the tannins soften a bit. Ideally, the 2009 is best cellared for another few years, which should help the elements to come together a little bit more. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027.”
~
91 points - Vinous / Antonio Galloni - “The 2009 Right Bank shows good up-front juiciness and sheer appeal in its red fruit, flowers, licorice and spices. This is a more supple, fleshy style than the 2008. “
