Mission Codename Ad Operativi Spolias
We last featured William Gordon back in 2015. Our operatives went crazy for their wine, making it our best-selling Petite Sirah to date. Where have they been, you ask? Well, they’ve been sold out… and I’ve stayed in touch with them, calling dibs on any new release of their Petite.
My persistence has paid off!
Today’s William Gordon 2012 Alexander Valley Estate Petite Sirah marks the long-anticipated return of this winery that is much beloved by our Operatives. The previous vintage of their Petite Sirah was our best-selling Petite to date. We had to fight to get Today’s wine, and to our Operatives go the spoils!
This wine is extraordinarily aromatic, with bold blackberry jam, cured beef, blueberry candy, French vanilla, grilled plum, dried mission fig, molasses, sweet spice and roasted coffee bean.
Bold and juicy on the palate, with flavors of blackberry juice, blueberry preserve, black cherry, red plum, cured beef, bramble, dark spice, baker’s chocolate and peppercorn.
The fuss about this wine is real, so please accept our heartiest recommendation. You’ll thank us. Guaranteed.
