Mission Codename Ruby Friday
Welcome to the Wine Spies Intrigue Awards for 2016! Each year we recognize our most popular and most sought-after wines from the previous year - while giving our Operatives one final chance to secure some of the winning wines for themselves.
We may never show this wine again, so grab yours while you still can.
Today’s Deerfield Ranch 2011 Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is our 2016 Wine Intrigue Award winner for Top Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon.
Today’s Cabernet is a richly layered and beautifully balanced marvel that our Operatives declared to be our best Sonoma County Cabernet of 2016.
This steal of a wine is yours - while supplies last.
Lush spice and dark mixed berries rush up to greet you on the nose. These are followed by cassis, cedar, hard leather, blueberry preserve, mocha and a hint of slate.
Rich, layered flavors coat the entire palate with blackberry preserve, raspberry, black cherry and red currant. These are followed by black licorice, dusty bramble, coffee bean, cocoa dust, dried fall leaves and a hint of fine cracked pepper.
We make it no secret.. we’re in love with the wines of Deerfield… and we’re thrilled to bring you such a great deal on such a wonderful, elegant, delicious wine.
Cheers!
