Mission Codename MacLeod 9
The MacLeod family has been making wine on their family ranch for more than 40 years. We’re very excited to present you with the opportunity to experience their stupendous MacLeod Family Vineyard 2014 Sauvignon Blanc.
This is one of the very finest Sauvignon Blancs that we’ve ever shown!
This wine hails from the Valley of the Moon AVA, where the MacLeods farm about 50 acres of Sauvignon Blanc. Those vines grow on the north-facing hillside slopes, along with Zinfandel & Merlot. The rocky loam soil in these vineyards contribute to the development of grapes which possess great balance and flavors.
Classic California Sauv Blanc aromas, with citrus, pineapple, fresh cut grass, straw, biscuit, Granny Smith apple, orange blossom and subtle acacia flower.
Ultra soft on entry, with big, juicy flavors that cascade across the palate, with pineapple, white peach juice, nectarine, grapefruit, star fruit, Meyer lemon, subtle cut grass and very subtle white spice.
This wine is very highly recommended…. but hurry, quantity is limited on this one.
