Mission Codename Best in Class
The harbinger of spring celebrations, front porch sipping, casual BBQs and elegant soirees is here!
I am thrilled to present to you the fresh, delicious, best in class Grgich Hills Estate 2013 Napa Valley Fume Blanc. This wine is a festive, food-fantastic treat that we here at HQ are just crazy about.
Mike Grgich, whose namesake winery made today’s amazing wine, turned 93 just a few days ago. We’re celebrating his remarkable life and the undeniable influence that he’s had on the American wine business.
Mike’s wines are always remarkably superb and today’s shows just how well his commitment to quality is upheld by his winemaking team. A team which, incidentally, is headed my Mike’s nephew, Ivo Jeramaz. Ivo is one of the best winemakers we’ve ever had the pleasure to get to know. He’s also one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.
Aromas are so lush and so fragrant that moving on to actually tasting this wine is difficult. Aromas include Meyer lemon, pineapple golden apple, fresh cut grass, dried hay and flinty mineral.
Flavors are abundant and dense, with Meyer lemon, kafir lime, orange blossom, white peach, dried apricot, lemongrass, pineapple and a hint of subtle white spice.
Don’t miss out on this truly fabulous springtime delight. We love, love, love it - and know that you will, too.
