Mission Codename Splitting Rocks
Today’s wine is the truly delicious Viluko 2011 Split Rock Cabernet Sauvignon.
This wine is, hands down, the best 2011 Sonoma Cabernet we’ve had the pleasure to taste… and we’ve tasted plenty of them.
This is the winery’s entry-level red, yet it is so good that we can’t wait to sample their higher-end wines in the coming months. Try this fantastic and very highly recommended wine now and see just how much value and quality can be packed into a bottle that costs just $23.99!
Full and rich on the nose, with bold black cherry, blackberry, smoky cherry, raspberry, tobacco, cedar, twigs, dried leaves, seared fig, baker’s chocolate and sweet spice.
Complex and juicy on the palate, with big flavors of blackberry, black cherry, cassis, tobacco, dark chocolate, baking spice, fall leaves and a hint of black pepper.
Drink now, but hold onto to a few bottles for a couple of years… if you can resist drinking up your reserves!
