Mission Codename The Wunderkind
Today’s steal of a wine hails from the 2012 vintage, which is the best and most consistent Napa Valley vintage to come along in years. Today’s Maroon Wines 2012 Reserve Zinfandel Single Vineyard is a ready to drink delight that will cellar - and evolve - for the next 7 to 10 years.

This wine is fragrant and full on the nose with a wonderful bouquet of fresh berries, spice and woodsy notes. Blackberry and blueberry take the lead, followed by cassis, tree bark, dried violets, sweet spice, graphite and black pepper.
As with the nose, this wine is packed with balanced flavors. Initially, blackberry jam, plum jam and smoky blueberry cascade across the palate. These are closely followed by roasted fig, dried dark flowers, cigar box, spice and black pepper.
Napa Valley Zins are great, and our favorites are those that grow at the higher, mountainside elevations. Today’s wine was grown on the North East slope of Howell Mountain at 700’ elevation, on a picturesque bench vineyard that overlooks Pope Valley to the north and Lake Berryessa to the east.
Find out why Maroon Wines is one of the most popular wineries among our faithful Operatives, and be sure to take advantage of the special savings that we’re offering - today only.
At today’s price, you won’t be disappointed. Unless you miss out…
