Mission Codename Zinnacle
When today’s Kenwood Vineyards 2011 Reserve Sonoma County Zinfandel fell into Agent Red’s lap, he purchased every case that he could get his hands on.
Today’s wine is one of the juiciest, jammiest and most balanced Zins ever from this iconic known-for-great-Zins winery.
Kenwood is a historic Sonoma County winery that has roots that date back to 1906. That’s when the Pagani Brothers Winery, where Kenwood has called home since 1970, was founded.
This wine is very full on the nose, with aromas of black cherry, black currant, sweet spice, bramble bush, black pepper, cherry candy and dusty earth.
On the palate, today’s Zin is juicy and balanced, with bold flavors of blackberry juice, black cherry, raspberry, brown spice, violets, subtle rosemary and a hint of anise.
Today’s very highly recommended wine is the pinnacle of Kenwood’s Zinfandel-crafting prowess.
Quantity is limited, so please get some soon for yourself and your friends.
