Mission Codename High Climber
Today’s featured wine is the Rock Wall Wine 2014 Monte Rosso Reserve Zinfandel. California Zinfandel aficionados have long revered wines from the legendary Monte Rosso Vineyard in the Sonoma Valley AVA, on the southwest side of the Mayacamas mountain range.
Made famous by Louis Martini, this prestigious vineyard is sought after by many, but only accessible to a few lucky wineries. The Rock Wall Block has 116-year-old vines that are head trained and super gnarly, so the resulting wine is bold, full-bodied and juicy.
Really lush and full on the nose, with bramble bush, blackberry, raspberry, cherry cordial, warm spice, oak, cherry pipe tobacco, sweetwood and cracked pepper.
On the palate, enjoy blackberry and black cherry juice up front. Then, brambly mixed berry, tobacco, twigs, toasty oak and black pepper.
Make your purchase of this Highly Recommended wine quickly, before we sell out!
