Mission Codename Simply the best
Today’s Bernard Magrez 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is, without a doubt, one of the best ultra-luxury wines we’ve ever had the honor to have featured. It is the result of the magical combination of Beckstoffer fruit from the Dr. Crane Vineyard, the 99 point Napa Cab vintage year of 2010 and the winemaking skills of Benoit Touquette.
A rush of heady, opulent aromas rush to meet you on the nose - with smoked blueberry and black currant take the lead, followed by black cherry, cured meats, blackberry, grilled Santa Rosa plum, supple leather, darkly toasted oak and subtle mixed spice.
Silky and velvet smooth on entry, then softly grippy as flavors of Blackberry compote, grilled plum, black cherry, tobacco, cassis, dried leaves, anise, flint and mixed spice cascade across the palate.
If that’s not enough to convince you, here are a few important facts about today’s wine:
1) The 2010 Napa Cabernet vintage earned a decade-high 99 points from Wine Spectator Magazine’s editor in chief, James Laube. 2010 is the it vintage and Napa Cabs from this year are increasingly difficult to come by.
2) The fruit for this wine was sourced directly from Beckstoffer’s own Dr. Crane Vineyard. This vineyard produces the most sought-after, highest-scoring wines in the world - from wineries like Paul Hobbs, Myriad, Alpha Omega, Knights Bridge and others.
3) The retail price of this wine is $175.00. Today it is yours for just $[REDACTED]. Though not an inexpensive purchase, you are getting incredible value on a truly fantastic wine.
4) This wine has earned a Top Five spot on Agent Red’s personal favorites of all time list!
