The 2012 Bin 138 GSM is a dense magenta color. In no way bashful, the aromatics need little encouragement to leap from glass– with or without a swirl! The nose offers aromas of all the reds: raspberry, red licorice, dark red berried-fruits, and red jelly-bean.
The wine is savory, and dare one say, Rhonish. Structurally verging on lush/viscous during this youthful developmental phase. It has yet to completely unfurl – there is a suggestion of kirsch, maraschino, and fruitcake mix. On the palate, white chocolate and mocha flavors/”powderiness” merge with softened rounded tannins.
Enjoy from 2015 to 2025.
