Mission Codename King Mike
We love the wines of Grgich Hills Estate and we are very lucky to have their fabulous, food-friendly 2011 Napa Valley Estate Grown Zinfandel. This wine is aromatic, boldly flavorful, elegant and a great companion for a great variety of food pairings.
As one would expect from a Grgich Zinfandel, today’s wine is very aromatic. Bold aromas leap from the glass, beginning with Plum, blackberry and dark strawberry. As the wine opens up, secondary aromas appear, including raspberry, spice box, chocolate covered cherry, dark chocolate and black pepper.
On the palate, this wine is darkly juicy, led by blackberry, raspberry, strawberry and plum. Secondary flavors include dark spice, blueberry compote, dusty bramble, baker’s chocolate, oak and black pepper.
Be sure to visit with us soon, as this wine is expected to sell out.
