Mission Codename Fantastic Mr. Fox
Today’s Epiphany Cellars 2012 Gypsy is the winery’s signature blend. Each year winemaker Blair Fox selects from the best blocks at the winery’s vineyard sources. This award-winning vintage is complex, balanced, delicious, interesting - and a total steal.
Today’s Epiphany Cellars 2012 Gypsy ** is a truly delectable blend of 27% Mourvedre, 23% Cinsault, 18% Counoise, 17% Grenache, and 15% Syrah - from the winery’s fabled **Camp Four Vineyard and Rodney’s Vineyard, both located in the Santa Ynez Valley.
The Gypsy blend has been the winery’s signature blend for years. In fact, we first featured a Gypsy back when their 2008 vintage was the winery’s blend of the day. Gypsy changes in composition from vintage to vintage, depending on the skill and knowledge of winemaker, Blair Fox. This 2012 is a balanced, masterful blend that is easy drinking - and anything but boring.
Very highly recommended.
