Mission Codename Head of the Class
Today’s Fess Parker Winery 2013 Bien Nacido Vineyard Chardonnay is a 93 point (Wine Enthusiast Magazine) delight that had our entire tasting panel wishing that we had more sample bottles to ‘review’. This wine is loaded with flavor and it has a depth on the nose that will have you inhaling the aromas of this layered wine over and over again.
Fresh and rich on the nose, with lemon curd, creamed wildflower honey, lemon drop, sweet oak, white flower blossom, pineapple and a hint of Bosque pear.
On the palate, the wine is creamy and silky smooth, with lush flavors of Lemon, lime, lime flower, fresh cut pineapple, tangerine, flint and a hint of white pepper at the tail end.
The Bien Nacido Vineyard was named one of the Top 25 vineyards in the world by Wine & Spirits Magazine. It was Food & Wine Magazine that called the vineyard one of the Ten best vineyards in the world. Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator Magazine and Wine Enthusiast Magazine routinely award 90+ point scores to wines made from Bien Nacido Vineyard fruit. The Bien Nacido vineyard is the birthplace of high-scoring, high-dollar wines from Gary Farrell Winery, Longoria, Sine Qua Non, Au Bon Climat, Ojai Vineyard, Paul Lato and Twomey, to name just a few.
We’ve been showcasing the wines of Fess Parker for nearly eight years now. While we’ve grown very fond of the folks that we work with at this great winery, we are also in love with their wines.
