Mission Codename Pinot Perfect
When Agent Red brought today’s Lennox Vineyards 2013 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir to our tasting panel for assessment, we were intrigued. We had heard great things about this somewhat undercover brand and were thrilled to have the opportunity to taste their Pinot. And, boy, did we taste it! We spent a very long time with our sample bottles, diving in and pulling it apart.
This many layered wine is really superb and when you consider today’s 50% off price it is a true steal.
Here is what Sommelier Kristi Devine had to say about today’s wine:
“The front palate of this wine creates a mouth-watering sensation with hints of cinnamon and cherry. By the third sip, you realize that you are going to finish the bottle. Beautiful, perky acidity, with just a hint of forest floor. Bright and lively! The nose is floral and not overwhelming; very elegant and regal. Beautiful and lingering finish. Well balanced and cohesive.” - 90 points - Sommelier Kristi Devine
