Mission Codename Puttin' on the Fritz
Perhaps the best straight-up Chardonnay we’ve tasted all year from the Russian River Valley. Easily beats out $45+ single vineyard RRV & Sonoma Coast bottles we’ve sampled. It just has an amazing combination of richness and nerve that speak to its high fruit quality, experienced winemaking, and prized Goldridge dust soil.
The Wine Enthusiast rated the Fritz Chardonnay 91 points and had this to say about it:
“Crème brûlée informs the creamy backbone of an otherwise high-toned Chardonnay, the acidity brisk on the palate without veering over the edge. Layers of apple and pear give additional lift in between a yeasty texture.”
