Mission Codename Expectations met
This is the 4th successive vintage that we’ve shown of this Napa Valley staple wine. In 2012, though, the wine has seen a jump in quality over the previous vintage. This is no surprise, since the 2012 vintage is shaping up to be one of the finest in some time.
This wine is very aromatic, very perfumed. Aromas jump from the glass to give your nose a delightful surprise of fruit, spice and oak. This portends the delicious flavors to come. And come they do. Layer upon layer of juicy fruit cascades across the palate, finishing in a softly chalky dryness with subtle cinnamon and clove that are tempered by a soft vanilla oakiness that ties it all together.
Ready to drink now. Good for years to come.
Enjoy!
