Mission Codename The Satisfyer
Today we are very proud to bring you the next vintage in a succession of Geyser Peak Block Collection Cabernets that we’ve featured. Last year, we sold out of the stunning 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, Kuimelis Vineyard. This time around, we have the incredible 2008. This wine is, hands down the finest Block Collection Cab that we’ve tasted.
This is a wine that is sold only at the winery, but we clever spies managed to get our hands on a small allocation.
Geyser Peak’s high-end Block Collections wines are always great. Those from the Kuimelis Vineyard are especially great. This wine is packed with layer upon layer of flavor. It is extracted, but also very balanced. The wine is complex and very pleasing on the nose. On the palate it delivers a burst of richness that seems to go on forever into the lengthy finish.
Decant for optimal results. Enjoy now but be sure to lay a few bottles down for several more years. Wine Enthusiast, who gave the wine a 92 point score, also recommend it as a Cellar Selection.
