This wine is a traditional Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, with a fruity and aromatic character that stays true to the varietal. It’s rich with ripe notes of apricot, quince, pear, grapefruit and vanilla. The wine is well balanced and has velvety, smooth finish. It’s a great summer refreshment poolside or to be enjoyed prior to dinner, and would be a great pairing with oysters or light shellfish dishes.
91 Point Review - Master Somm Catherine Fallis From the stellar 2012 vintage, this bright, zesty and concentrated Sauvignon Blanc offers notes of rosemary, pine needle, lime, white peppercorn, Anaheim chile, apricot, white peach and vanilla. It is un-oaked, though it had us fooled. It is medium to full-bodied and soft, and has a soft bite at the finish. Ideal with Fritto Misto with Garlic Aioli, or with Basil-buttered popcorn.
Vineyard Notes The 2012 vintage was a good year for all varietals. A long growing season that was warmer than 2010 and 2011 with long hang time of the fruit that allowed for maximum ripeness and maturity throughout Napa Valley. Grapes were left on the vines without rushing to harvest due to near perfect weather.
