Mission Codename The Wallaby's Knees
Nick Goldschmidt did it again! With today’s Yardstick 2012 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Nick has raised the bar - and lowered the price - on Napa Valley Cabernet.
This wine hails from the Ruth’s Reach Vineyard at the northern end of the Napa Valley, close to Calistoga. Soil and climate are unique at this vineyard, both contributing to the special character of this delicious wine.
Nick Goldschmidt has made wines for wineries big and small. We love his small production wines (like today’s!) but we’ve also enjoyed his skilled work at wineries like Clos Du Bois, Buena Vista, Mumm Napa, Haywood, Garcia, Atlas Peak, Ehret, William Hill, and Gary Farrell. To name just a few.
