The tiny 2.25 acre Stori Vineyard is located in the Green Valley AVA of the Russian River Valley. The area is a perfect climate for growing Pinot Noir, as it gets a bit more heat than the Sonoma Coast, but is still coastal enough to avoid the heat spikes of the warmer areas of the Russian River Valley. The vineyard was planted in 2001 and is entirely clone 115. Like many vineyards in this area, it is notable for its Goldridge soils.
The Stori fruit was 100% destemmed and underwent a 6-day cold soak before indigenous fermentation. The wine was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels. We picked our three best barrels to represent this vineyard designate wine.
The wine is both mouthwatering and redolent with rich red fruits and baking spice aromas. The most fruit-driven Pinot Noir in our portfolio. So easy to like.
