Mission Codename The Feast
Prepare yourself, dear Operative: Today’s Estampa 2009 La Cruz Red Blend might just take your breath away. Exceedingly gorgeous, with rich flavors of dark berry, wood smoke, and fresh herbs, your tongue might have to pinch itself after the first sip.
This wine is a blend of Carménère (58%), Cabernet Sauvignon (35%) and Syrah (7%). For those that don’t know Carménère, it is often called the lost Bordeaux varietal of France where it was used as a blending component - before migrating to Chile, where the grape now thrives.
If you love bold, rich reds, I offer you this treat with my boldest recommendation. Cheers!
