Mission Codename The Cabfather
Today’s outstanding 2009 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon comes to us from the venerable Arrowood Vineyards & Winery. Founder Richard Arrowood is in many ways the founding father of Sonoma Cabernet, working exclusively in Sonoma County for over 45 years, including over 15 years as master winemaker at Chateau St. Jean.
Today’s 92 Point (Stephen Tanzer) wine is beautifully layered, with lush flavor after lush flavor leaping from the glass with each successive sip. If ever there was a wine that screamed for a perfectly grilled steak, today’s wine is it! The juicy fruit and subtle earthen flavors in today’s wine will pair beautifully with a charcoal-grill seared steak (our mouths are watering just thinking about it!).
Please accept our boldest recommendation for today’s outstanding Cabernet. Today’s Sonoma offering just may give the best of Napa a run for its money!
