Mission Codename Barn Burner
Today’s Frisby Cellars 2011 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon is the Wine Spies debut for winemaker Josh Frisby. Josh is a very busy dude - on top of handcrafting excellent wines, he spends his “off-hours” putting out literal fires for the Orange County Fire Authority.
Today’s Cab is a lovely blend of a very aromatic nose paired with a more subdued, extracted palate. The rich, bold dark fruit flavors, paired with just the right amount of velvety tannin and acidity, had us planning our summer barbecue. We feel this wine would be an excellent accompaniment to a well-marbled steak, perfectly grilled over charcoal (is your mouth watering yet?!).
We highly recommend this palate pleasing and wallet friendly Cab. Don’t miss out!
