Mission Codename The Golden Vintage
Welcome to another in a series of spectacular Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons from the 2010 vintage. This vintage is one to pay attention to, as Napa Cabernet Sauvignon wines from 2010 are almost universally fantastic. The ones that are not fantastic won’t ever show up here, so be assured that today’s wine is one that you might really consider for yourself.
In the September issue of Wine Spectator Magazine, senior editor James Laube issued a strong buy recommendation for 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Along with this, he also issued a decades-high 98 point score. Today’s 2010 Napa Cab is a delicious and complex wine that we offer to you with our boldest recommendation.
We have always enjoyed wines from our friend Tom Meadowcroft and his namesake winery. Today’s Meadowcroft Wines 2010 Napa Valley Oak Knoll Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon sees the winery stretching its talents - and great fruit sources - even farther than usual. Where Tom’s Meadowcroft wines are characteristically rife with juicy red fruits, this wine shows off a darker, richer and more complex style of winemaking. Attribute this to the vintage, if you will, but we also give Tom Meadowcroft a ton of credit.
We’ve been selling out of our 2010s at a record pace, but be assured, we are striving for ever larger allocations. That said, though, please act quickly to avoid potential disappointment. We don’t want you to miss out on today’s Ultra QPR wine!
