You probably know Alder Springs Vineyard… from other wineries’ labels. The fabled grower of what is arguably the most coveted Mendocino fruit, Alder has historically sold its fruit to the likes of Copain, Patz & Hall, Sojourn, Behrens Family Winery, Arnot-Roberts, and many others.

Today’s Alder Springs Vineyard 2011 Row Five Chardonnay is light and fresh with plenty of tree-ripened fruit. The wine is soft and smooth on the palate and it finishes with great acidity and a just a touch of minerality.

Enjoy this very highly recommended wine all by itself or with a wide array of pairing choices. This is a very seafood-friendly wine, but we’d also recommend roast chicken, a plate of hard and ripe cheeses, or mixed fruits.
