Mission Codename First Class
Today’s wine was a smash hit with our recent tasting panel. At least once a week we convene a panel that consists of our own in-house Agents (led by Agent Red) and a cadre of wine industry mavens from the far corners of the trade. Winemakers, cellar rats, professional sommeliers, and more contribute their expertise and opinions. Together, we carefully evaluate and review the wines that we select for you. About one third of the wines presented are rejected by the panel, ensuring that the wines that we feature are fantastic.
Today’s Phipps Family Cellars 2009 Treborce Vineyard Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel is fantastic! This wine is classic Dry Creek Zin, demonstrating the sort of richness and extraction that is characteristic of the region.
We’ll be warming our cores with this wine for the rest of the winter, but we’ll also be squirreling some away for spring and summer barbecues!
