The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is inky black with a dark purplish rim. The complex aromatics show rich aromas of black currant, blackberry, and ripe plum and are complemented by notes of slate, sandalwood, tobacco and hints of cocoa. In the mouth, layer upon layer of explosive sweet black fruit flavors are followed by pronounced mineral notes with baked cocoa, earthy tobacco and silky sweet tannins, The depth of this wine is expressed by its integrated and fully resolved silky tannins wound around a plush and seductive core of sweet fruit. The 2008 is borderline over the top! It is a monster and the wine will cellar age and will drink exceptionally well over the next decade and beyond.
These elements all come together to create the harmony that is Super Sonoman Wine.
92 Point Review - Wine Enthusiast Flashy and delicious, this could even grow in the bottle with a few years of aging, becoming earthier and drier in fruit. Otherwise, it’s perfectly fine now-a soft, complex wine, with brisk acidity and flavors of blackberry, black currant and mocha.
