Mission Codename Mondo Vino
Thank you, Ted Osborne! We loved Ted’s fantastic 2006 Petite, but today’s 2007 King Vineyard Petite Sirah is simply remarkable.
Aromas and flavors, while bold and big, are also very balanced and elegant. This wine does not slap you around like examples that come from rival regions.
Spin this wine vigorously in your glass or decant for best results. After about 20 minutes of decanting, the wine really opens up, revealing greater dimension, fuller flavors and even more character. Where the wine is slightly tight on opening, decanting brings forth a more fully rounded - and even more delicious - experience.
We paired ours with a perfect, seared, rare New York strip steak rubbed with Himalayan pink salt, cracked pepper, and garlic. The combination was perfection! Be sure to stock up on this ready to drink, age worthy Petite Sirah.
