Mission Codename La Reine Blanche
From one of the top growers and winemakers in the renowned vineyards of Chassagne, today’s Domaine Morey Coffinet 2011 Bourgogne Blanc is a truly super and superior wine!
We got our hands on every last case in the country, so please act quickly, We will run out of this wonderful white.
Beautifully made, with racy, delicious flavors from end to end. The wine has some butteriness and spice, but is wonderfully balanced. Fruit, spice and minerals all give this wine a harmonious balance.
Drinking beautifully, now, this wine shows great aging potential. We think that it could go for at least another 3 to 5 years and we’ll be holding onto a few bottles until at least 2020, just to see where this wine goes. The fruit that is currently present in the wine condense, but the acids are there to provide a backbone that will carry the wine for 5 years or more.
This is a very flexible and food-friendly wine. We recommend it as an accompaniment to a first course or with Hors d’oeuvres. Serve with baked brie, a baked chicken breast or a lightly prepared fish. Salad Nicosie, pork loin or salt cod would also work very well.
