After an extremely difficult 2017, where we decided to not release the wine, we were rewarded for the patience by the gorgeous 2018 vintage. The weather patterns returned back to normal and we saw plenty of small clusters with high skin-to-juice ratio resulting in concentrated wines with balancing acidities to lift the tannin texture. We believe 2018 was the best vintage we have produced so far.

This may be possibly the most remarkable wine made from our estate. Unlike the Ranch House and Six Oaks, the fruit for this wine comes from our single mountain-side fruit. There on the steep slopes, mechanization is nearly impossible, and high drainage of the soil, as well as different cooling/warming dynamics from the valley floor, make this an exceptional terroir. The wine shows the structural density and plushness of texture with seamless acid balance creating a lifted, everlasting finish you would expect from a grand cru vineyard. Thanks to the high structural integrity, you can lay this wine aside for up to twenty years or longer, with the tannins only getting more seamless and harmonized and the wine gains tertiary interest.
