Mission Codename Family Bandol
Bandol in the house!!!
From the Bunans none the less! This is multi generational awesomeness at your fingertips!
This is a true story of a wine family. In 1961, Paul and Pierre Bunan, men steeped in the wine-growing lore of the Mediterranean, fell in love with an estate in the Bandol region, in the south of France. Paul’s son, Laurent, returned to the property after studying oenology and winemaking in California starting the next generation’s command of the estate. His sister Françoise, followed suit and is now in charge of communications where she takes a creative and artful approach to the brand. Pierre’s daughter Claire is also involved with the wine marketing, rounding out the generations involvement.
This wine is deep and powerful, Operatives. Not for the faint of heart. Too easy to all in love here so please beware.
Full bodied and powerful, enjoy a mélange of red and black fruit with notes of cedar, acacia and fresh tobacco. Well balanced and fine tannins wrap around flavors of pepper, anise and blackberry preserves. So big and so pretty!
Quality is the theme with this winery and this wine is no exception. With mostly Mourvedre and smaller amounts of Cinsault and Syrah, this wine is everything you want from Bandol.
Only a few bottles made it to the Spies HQ! Do not delay!
