Mission Codename The Man-Machine
Black Friday has stopped, but the deals keep pouring down over here!
Hope you have a few spots in your Locker because you’re going to want to fill it up and ship it out with one of our most popular offers EVER. We landed a fresh drop from Essere Franco. If there’s one thing we know it’s that you THRIVE on these big flamboyant reds.
Essere Franco makes some seriously full-bodied and expressive wines, and they continue to sit amongst our most popular offers ever for a good reason.
The value is off the meter - a full 60% drop takes this from the $120 retail to our $48! Just think - you could buy 5 pairs of lightsaber chopsticks or 4 pairs of baguette slippers (Amazon, obv) with the savings! Baguette slippers are pretty sweet, but we’d just load up on another bottle or three.
Do it quick though. Given every Essere Franco we offered in the past sold out, we’re thinking this will FLY outta here… as it should.
That makes perfect sense considering their winemaker Tom Foster’s deep experience at Opus One, Groth & Lewis Cellars. Put these wines next to any of those and you’ll be amazed at the parallels.
Sourced from their hillside Estate vineyard in Coombsville, this has the throbbing core of dark fruit you crave. Deep, complex, and opulent, this is Cabernet dialed up and stroked out. Definitely on the ripe and toasty side of the spectrum, it’s front-loaded with black currant and blackberry, mulberries, anise, Nilla wafer, a dusting of five spice, and a long, toasty finish that goes on and on.
Much as we’re NUTS about their cigar smoker labeled Petit Verdot blend, it’s obvious why this Cab is the one that has always scored the highest with critics in past vintages. Though the 2018 has not been rated yet, it’s cut of the exact same cloth as what Jeb Dunnuck describes: “a beautiful effort that shows class, a terrific wine that will gain additional nuance and complexity with bottle age” and also precisely what Robert Parker sees; “full-bodied, structured, and just a lovely mountain-style Cabernet with impressive complexity and depth.”
An insane value, and we’re hesitant to say much more. If you know, you know. If you don’t, you should jump on it while you can.
