Mission Codename Unicorns Exist
Is…is this one of the best Oakville Cab deals we’ve come across in 15+ years in business??
No.
It’s possibly THE BEST Oakville Cab deal we’ve come across. Ever.
And if you love big, rich, oaky Napa Cabernet it really doesn’t get much better. At our price? It’s a fool’s errand to look for anything similar.
The crown jewel of Napa AVAs, Oakville is home to the most iconic labels in the region. A long list of the best producers in the region lay claim to vineyards in Oakville - Far Niente, Paradigm, Robert Mondavi and Silver Oak, to name just a few. The average bottle price for a Cabernet from here sits around $100-150 and can go MUCH MUCH higher.
So how many Oakville Cabs can you find for under $50? A handful perhaps… if you are lucky.
Now go lower - say under $30?
Crickets…radio silence. Like searching for a true unicorn, you’ll come up empty every time.
Until today!
Because while this was released at $95, we have it for a neuron-blasting, eye-popping price of $29. While it lasts at least…
The incredible thing is this has all the stuffing to go head to head with the $100 counterparts. With all-star vintner Jean-Charles Boisset, 100-point consulting winemaker Philippe Melka, and Raymond winemaker Stephanie Putnam, it’s a massive steal at its winery price - and an absolute no brainer for the 70% OFF you see here.
1881 is the in-house label of the famed Oakville Grocery. The famed grocery store sits just across from the To-Kalon vineyard and a stone’s throw away from Opus One. Oakville Grocery is California’s longest running grocery store, since - you guessed it - 1881. In 2019, it was purchased by Jean-Charles Boisset, of the famous Boisset Collection of wines. With near limitless resources at his disposal, he continues to elevate the quality of wine here, and this is a shining example.
Intensely concentrated, seamless and polished. It delivers everything you hope for in a high-end Napa Cabernet - minus the price. It comes loaded with opulent layers of blackberry pie, dark plums, and blueberry compote. A whisper of cacao nibs, a big kiss of toasty oak and a trace of vanilla and baking spice round it all out. Soft and expansive in the mouth, it’s a hedonistic and sultry ride from the very first sip.
This will no doubt be one of, if not THE most popular Cabernet we offer this year. Get it while it’s here…
