The press is endless on these.
Jeb Dunnuck for one goes on record stating that âwhile they started out with a single release, they now produce numerous Pinot Noirs which are driven by the different soils and clones. I referenced La Tâche more than once in these reviews, and I donât make that comparison lightly. These are brilliant wines.â
You read that right, heâs talking about THAT $8,000+ a bottle DRC La Tâche as a reference point for this sub-$80 steal of a Pinot Noir. Just donât tell anyone what you paid on Wine Spies.
Oh, and put your Ray Bans on when you drink a Wayfarer, makes a difference!
96 Points â The Wine Independent
âThe 2021 Pinot Noir The Estate is a blend of all the clones. Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, it prances out of the glass with fragrant notes of Bing cherries, fresh raspberries, and wild blueberries plus hints of red roses, cinnamon toast, and black tea. The medium to full-bodied palate has electric tension and impressive purity with very fine-grained tannins and a long vibrant finish. Drink 2024-2032.â
96 Points â James Suckling
âVery floral with hints of rose stems and hibiscus to the fresh ripe strawberry and citrus character. Medium to full body. Dried peach and orange peel flavors. Very long and intense. Lively at the end with lovely purity of fruit. Drink or hold.â
95 Points â Robert Parkerâs Wine Advocate
âThe 2021 Pinot Noir The Estate has inviting aromas of cranberry sauce, mushroom, allspice and bitters. The palateâs concentrated, nuanced fruit is structured by focused acidity and generous, powdery tannins, and it finishes with a flourish of spicy accents. Itâs drinking beautifully now and will develop savory complexity in bottle over the next decade. Drink 2024-2034.â
