Podere Forte is located in Tuscany in the Orcia Valley between Montalcino and Montepulciano and was founded in the mid-1990’s by Pasquale Forte. Over the next several years, he painstakingly restored the farm to its former glory. The large farm contains 12 hectares planted with vineyards, with the rest distributed between olive groves, grain fields, livestock pastures, beehives, gardens and natural forests.

Vineyard soils are mainly clay-limestone with some sandy-gravelly soils. In the years preceding vineyard planting, legumes and grains were planted in order to cleanse the soil and to allow meticulous study of each plot. During harvest, each plot is harvested 2-3 times to ensure optimal ripeness for each grape cluster. Each plot is vinified separately allowing strict selection in the cellar in order to achieve the best possible wine each vintage.
