Mission Codename Pink kiss
Rosé of the year? Too early to tell? It will be very hard to surpass this one…
Tony Arcudi has the most fascinating background, per Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate he “is the consulting winemaker at Kapscandy but Arcudi is his own project. A middle-aged career-changer and Boston native, Arcudi came to Napa at age 38, determined to become a winemaker after serving in the Navy and working at a technology venture, going on to work with both Michel Chapoutier and Heidi Barrett.” Tony now makes Arcudi at Fantesca side by side with her.
No wonder he has access to Bacigalupi fruit! Quintessential Russian River Valley, this prized site was after all a contributing source to the winner of the 1976 Judgement of Paris. The legacy of this 4th generation family vineyard carries on with their own label, along with those of Williams Selyem, Gary Ferrell, or Rudd Estate, just to name a few who rely on their fruit for outstanding wines.
Reminiscent of a top-shelf Tavel with its deep (almost a shy red wine deep)color. And that’s not even the best part. Juicy and ripe, with range to the blood orange, cherry and strawberry flavors, along with lively savory and rooibos tea notes through the finish. Amazing zip. SO SUCCULENT. Buy by the case.
We did not because we CARE for you, as there were only 20 cases, first come first to quench their Spring thirst with this blissful beauty.
