The grapes for this release are sourced from Rosenblum, a small, easterly-facing hillside vineyard located in the heart of the Russian River Valley. The vineyard has a mixture of blue shale and red clay and enjoys cool evenings, foggy mornings, and hot afternoon sun.
2015 was a mild growing season in the Russian River Valley. The mild winter and spring caused early bud break. Moderate temperatures, with only minimal rain in September, allowed for even ripening. Our 2015 Russian River Pinot Noir opens with mouthwatering aromas of black cherry and sun-ripened boysenberry. Vibrant acidity and supple tannins balance perfectly with flavors of ripe plum and blackberry. The finish is elegant and lingers pleasantly on the palate.
