Luna comes around early, as the moon hits this special microclimate first, while Tramonto gets the afternoon sunset. Luna is always the last to harvest too, fascinatingly, getting more hangtime and complexity, and it also makes up the core of the Reserve program. Historically it’s the most critically acclaimed wine Due Ruscelli makes.
Violet color in the glass. Bright, attractive, fruity aromas of black raspberries with notes of chocolate, and roasted nuts on the nose. The body is satiny, vibrant, fruity medium-to-full. Flavors of tingling, appealing, medium-long dried sour cherries and oranges, sweet marinated beets blend into a vanilla finish with silky, fine tannins and light oak. A delicious, mouthwatering Zinfandel.
