This is a wine that starts out with numerous small lots (Stoney Creek Estate, White Estate, Oak Flat, Marchini, Fenaughty, Cox, Camino Ridge, South Fork, Ambrosia, Von Heune, Sumu Kaw, Barsotti, and Baiocchi VIneyards), clones, blocks, etc. As the individual wines age on their gross lees, they add complexity and show their strengths and attributes. Just prior to bottling, the blend is put together from over 50 different potential lots from a dozen vineyards to create this unique blend.

The 2015 Red Blend has red fruit aromatics like dark cherry, strawberry preserves, and dried cranberry, while subtle notes wild sage, fennel seed, and dirt road add nuance. The palate is medium bodied with a crunchy dose of minerality, subtle tannins and lingering acidity on the finish.

The wine is patterned after the Grenache & Mourvedre driven wines of Southern France. It is a true nod to the Cotes-du-Rhone Village wines made for everyday drinking, and to be paired with a wide variety of dishes.
