Mission Codename 10/10 Would Drink Again
Pinot lovers assemble! We’ve tasted some wildly compelling Pinot over the years. But this…THIS lush, dense, highly lovable bottle will leave you smiling harder than the Kool-Aid man. Especially when you factor in the wild 60% discount. Move fast because there’s not much of this one…Under $20?!
Maybe it’s because Winemaker Michael Zardo spent nine years alongside Jeff and Gary Pisoni. Or maybe it’s the primo Russian River fruit carefully selected plot by plot from three excellent vineyards. Or the meticulous sorting and careful attention during the blending trials to find the perfect balance. Whatever the reason, they absolutely crushed it and it’s a total JOY to drink! We’re loving the lush, borderline hedonistic style of Pinot with enough freshness and balance to earn approval from the most diehard Burgundy fan. Expressive and full with a sweet core of dark red cherry pie and perfectly ripened alpine strawberries…there’s plum and warm baking spices and cream soda, too, all in a medium to full-bodied frame.
At this price it’s A MUST HAVE if you like serious Pinot. Only a few hundred cases made and we grabbed what we could…but these days it’s never enough.
